We're looking for a Class 1 Delivery Driver to safely deliver hazardous chemicals across the UK, ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Role Responsibilities:
-Safely deliver hazardous chemicals to customer locations across the UK via palletised deliveries and bulk transfers into customer storage tanks using IBC totes.
-Complete daily vehicle checks, maintain accurate tachograph records, and ensure compliance with all driver regulations.
-Load, secure, and check deliveries against manifests, ensuring all products are transported safely and correctly.
-Follow all Health & Safety, COSHH, ADR, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including spill response procedures.
-Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and production planners, proactively highlighting delays or operational issues.
-Support warehouse operations when required, including forklift operation and IBC inspections.
-Manage routes and workload efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Valid ADR Licence (Class 1 or 2) and a full UK driving licence.
-Previous experience transporting hazardous goods and a strong understanding of chemical handling and transportation regulations.
-Forklift Counterbalance licence (or willingness to obtain) and experience operating material handling equipment.
-Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
