As a handler within our market leading Claims division, you will handle insurance claims with maximum efficiency and minimum fuss. These will be related to vehicle damage and road traffic accidents. Through meticulously checking facts and asking questions you will be able to drive your claims forward and make accurate liability decisions. You will talk and listen calmly to our customers, and in some circumstances brokers and claimant solicitors, knowing just the right questions to ask to obtain relevant information to assist you in processing the claim. You'll enjoy taking personal responsibility for your own caseload, continually reorganising and prioritising to ensure our customers get the best service possible.

• Enjoys a challenge where no two days are the same.
• Likes to deal directly with customers on the phone listening and fact finding.
• Is comfortable negotiating with people, including solicitors and brokers, and making decisions based on facts, as well as challenging the status quo.
• Is quick to adjust your work priorities to meet changing demands.
• Is collaborative with colleagues., Minimum of 5 GCSEs/National 5s at grade A to C (Grades 4 - 9 from 2017) with two of those being in Maths and English.
• Excellent communication both written and oral together with questioning skills
• You should be able to provide excellent customer service
• No previous claims or insurance experience is required as full training will be provided.
• Quick learner who's not afraid of a challenge

• Salary is 25,100 to 28,500 depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
