Create feasibility studies, outline and detailed designs in accordance with client requirements and industry standards
Ensure designs are buildable and cost-effective
Oversee CAD technicians producing engineering drawings
Carry out civil engineering design and assessment for a range of railway infrastructure assets, including equipment bases, bridges, platforms, lineside structures and buildings
Conduct project planning, programming, cost control
Report on project progress and expenditure
Attend project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Ensure all designs comply with health and safety legislation and CDM regulations
Supervise and mentor junior design engineer colleagues, assisting with their ongoing training and development

Previous experience in civil / structural design, ideally within a rail or infrastructure environment
Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
Experience using Tekla Tedds
Understanding and experience of Eurocodes
Knowledge of Network Rail and London Underground design standards and processes
Driving licence
