Civil Enforcement Officer

As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will work across Cheshire East's highway network to help ensure parking and traffic regulations are followed, keeping roads safe, accessible and moving. These roles are based from Macclesfield Town Hall and will primarily cover the north of the borough including Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Knutsford and Alderley Edge, although there may be occasions where you are required to work elsewhere across the borough. The role is mainly outdoors and includes on-street and off-street patrols across the highway and council operated car parks. You will educate motorists on safe, considerate and legal parking, particularly in and around schools, helping to keep children and pedestrians safe at drop-off and pick-up times. You will also support traffic flow, open and close pedestrianised areas and car parks, and issue Penalty Charge Notices where required., Applicants should ensure all sections of the application form are completed as failure to do so will result in their application being rejected.
