Chip Shop Fryer

We are looking for a fryer to join our fish and chip shop Catch 22. You'll be a key part of our team, helping to deliver delicious takeaway meals for our owners and guests. Catch 22 was voted top 20 in the UK for fish and chip shop takeaways for 2026. We are very proud of the quality and sustainability of our products and want to deliver the best fish and chips to our guests. A can-do attitude, attention to detail and excellent people skills are essential. Being available to work evenings and weekends including bank holidays are also essential. What you will be doing We need someone who understands the importance of delivering consistency and quality in a fast-paced, retail catering environment. Here are some of the things you will be doing: · The preparation and frying of a range of foods · Hand cutting of our Cod and Haddock · Managing the fry range and oil · Maintaining Food Safety and Hygiene · Prepping and cooking a quality Chip, storage and blanching to, most importantly, frying and delivering! And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you are happy to help even when it is 'not your job,' you are our sort of person.

• Have a passion for food
• Relish the fast pace of a chip shop
• Be someone who does things without needing to be asked
• Be a people person; easy to talk to and never happy until your guests are
• Have experience of working in a team
