Childrens Home Residential Development Manager

Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for a unique opportunity to shape and develop new children's homes from the very beginning? At Compass, you'll play a key role in our growth journey, leading the registration, opening, and initial operation of new therapeutic children's residential homes that provide safe, nurturing environments where children and young people can thrive. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and resilient leader who enjoys building services from the ground up, driving positive change, and leaving a lasting legacy. Once the home is established and a permanent Registered Manager is in place, you'll move on to the next development project, helping to bring more high-quality homes to children who need them most. What You'll Do: Work with the Development Team to identify new homes for growth. Oversee all aspects of home design, registration, and fit-out, ensuring key project milestones are met. Lead the Ofsted registration process, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Manage the home pre and post-opening, ensuring smooth operation and high-quality care. Recruit, train, and induct permanent Registered Managers and staff teams. Provide mentorship and leadership to new teams, embedding best practices. Ensure the home maintains the highest standards of care, in line with the home's Statement of Purpose and Compass policies. Contribute to policy and strategy development, shaping the future of Compass Children's Homes.

Essential: Level 5 qualification in Residential Leadership. At least 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager in a children's home, with evidence of Minimum Good Ofsted reports. Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Services. Previous experience in setting up and opening new children's homes.

• Basic Salary: £56,238 - £64,349
• Incredible Bonus Structure: Opportunity to earn up to an additional £24,000 a year, Broken down by:
• £6,000 = Home opens on time and within agreed regulatory parameters
• £6,000 = First Ofsted inspection rated Good
• £6,000 = Achieves 85% occupancy within 4 months of opening.
• £6,000 = Fully recruited, stable and engaged staff team, with successful induction and handover to a permanent Registered Manager.
• Up to £5,000 relocation package.
• 224 hours holiday, increasing to 248 hours after 4 years.
• Service awards up to £600, plus up to £500 special recognition award for outstanding practice.
