Full Job Description
We are looking for compassionate and adaptable practitioners to deliver personalised 1:1 support to young people with SEN, SEMH, or additional needs. This is a community-based role, working beyond traditional classrooms to create safe, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences. You will:
- Deliver tailored intervention sessions
- Build positive and consistent relationships with young people
- Monitor progress and report safeguarding concerns
- Complete risk assessments and maintain accurate records
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and regional teams
You may come from education, youth work, healthcare, social care, coaching, uniformed services, or other people-focused backgrounds. We value empathy, resilience, creativity, and the ability to build trust with vulnerable young people. Essential Requirements - Minimum 2 years' relevant experience
- Experience supporting young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
- Availability for at least 3 weekdays during daytime hours
- Experience with personal and Intimate Care
- Experience with communication Aid use Desirable:
- Teaching or therapeutic qualifications
- Safeguarding or de-escalation training
- Manual Handling Experience/training Practicalities
