Children and Young People Family Support Worker (Early Help)

As a Children and Young People Family Support Worker (Early Help), you will work directly with children, young people and their families to improve outcomes, strengthen family relationships and prevent difficulties from escalating. Using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, you will deliver evidence-based interventions, coordinate Early Help plans, and support families to achieve sustainable positive change whilst promoting the safety, wellbeing and rights of children and young people.,

• Provide direct support to children, young people and families through evidence based interventions.
• Act as Lead Practitioner, coordinating Early Help assessments, plans and
reviews.
• Deliver parenting programmes, group work and individual family support.
• Work with families experiencing trauma, crisis and complex needs to build resilience and stability.
• Liaise with schools, health professionals and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records on WCCIS and monitor progress against agreed family goals.

• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with families facing complex challenges.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, child development and trauma-informed practice.
• Excellent communication, organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners and lead family meetings.
