Full Job Description
In an exciting recent development, we are pleased to be in a position to expand our workforce and are seeking to recruit a number of childrens wellbeing practitioners to join a PCN (Primary Care Network) mental health service in South Tyneside and Sunderland. This involves identifying individuals who have the ability to assist in delivering low intensity, evidence-based interventions for children, young people and their families who present with a variety of mental health difficulties. Within this new and innovative service model, the team is made up of both high and low intensity Children and Young Peoples Mental Health (CYPMH) practitioners and will work in close partnership with our well-established Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Services. This multi-disciplinary team will deliver a range of interventions that support the identification of mental health needs at the earliest stage, while enabling access to services that build resilience and promote positive mental wellbeing.Main duties of the job We expect the post holder to possess sound children and young peoples mental health knowledge and skills. You will have the aptitude, motivation and enthusiasm for working within a pioneering service. Candidates will:
- Provide direct evidence-based low intensity interventions and outcome focused standards of care to children and families/carers.
- Post holders will deliver high-quality training, consultation, and support to other staff.
- Work collaboratively with multi professional teams to ensure practice is efficient, effective, evidence based and safe.
