Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Barnet Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our dynamic Family Team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, ensuring they grow up in a safe and nurturing environment. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting families through challenging circumstances and facilitating access to the services they need. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that are tailored to individual family situations.
  • Working closely with other professionals, including schools, health services, and community organizations.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to help them navigate challenges and access resources.

    A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in a family support context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of children and families.
