Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families? Surrey County Council is seeking a skilled Children's Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with families to promote safety, well-being, and resilience. As a Children's Social Worker in the Family Safeguarding Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and multi-agency partners.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.
  • Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions to enhance professional development and service delivery.

    To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent assessment and analytical skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
