Full Job Description

Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Peterborough as a Children's Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing care plans, and working collaboratively with other professionals to provide effective support. You will also be responsible for conducting home visits, preparing reports for court proceedings, and maintaining accurate case records.

To thrive in this position, you will need to possess essential qualifications and skills, including a recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent), and be registered with Social Work England. You should have a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding practices, and relevant legislation. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are crucial, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in a safeguarding role or with vulnerable children and families will be highly advantageous.
