Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and their families? Swindon Borough Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our Positive Futures Team. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to promote their wellbeing and safeguard their interests, ensuring they have the best possible outcomes in life. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families experiencing challenges.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery.
  • Engaging in regular supervision and professional development opportunities.

    To be considered for this position, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess:
  • Experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
