Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker with a focus on improving the lives of children and families? Sefton Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment. As a Children's Social Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and their families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and support.
  • Providing guidance and support to families, promoting positive outcomes for children.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and maintaining accurate case records.

    A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's social work, with a strong understanding of child protection legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
