Full Job Description
As a Support Worker, you will provide nurturing, consistent care in a safe and structured environment. You'll support children to understand their past experiences, manage their feelings, and develop self-esteem, while working closely with a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team. This is a role for someone who is reflective, resilient, and passionate about making a long-term impact. What you'll do
- Provide consistent, nurturing care and act as a trusted adult role model
- Build positive relationships.
- Support children with daily routines, education, health, play, and activities
- Contribute to care planning, record keeping, and reflective practice
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to create a safe, emotionally containing home Supporting our staff We know working with traumatised children can be emotionally demanding. That's why we provide regular supervision. Continuous internal and external training ensures staff are supported and able to develop their skills while delivering the highest standard of care.
- Experience with children or vulnerable people (personal or professional)
- Calm, resilient, and reflective approach to challenging situations
- Willingness to work within a therapeutic framework
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or the willingness to work towards.
- Commitment to at least two years in the role
Shift work including sleep-ins - Flexibility required, including occasional overtime
- Must be physically able to meet the demands of the role
