Children's Services Experienced / Senior Social Worker

Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Child Assessment Team within the London Borough of Lambeth. This is a frontline statutory social work role at PO3 level, acting as lead professional on complex cases involving child protection, care proceedings, and looked after children. The role focuses on safeguarding children, promoting positive outcomes, and supporting families to achieve safe and sustainable change.,

• Act as lead practitioner on complex statutory children's social work cases
• Manage cases involving child protection, care proceedings, and looked after children
• Undertake assessments, care planning, and risk analysis in line with statutory requirements
• Apply professional judgement to safeguard children and reduce risk of harm
• Work directly with children and families to promote positive change and independence
• Attend strategy meetings, case conferences, core groups, and court proceedings
• Prepare high-quality written reports for court and statutory meetings
• Work closely with multi-agency partners to ensure coordinated safeguarding interventions
• Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with council procedures
• Supervise and support social work students where applicable (Practice Educator role)
  
  Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
• Significant experience in frontline statutory children's social work
• Strong experience in child protection, court work, and looked after children cases
• Ability to make sound professional judgements in complex and high-risk situations
• Excellent communication, assessment, and report writing skills
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced frontline team environment
