'The Job Itself' The role is situated within Marshlands Children's Centre. East Riding Children's Centres are here for the whole family from the moment you know you are expecting a baby up to the age of 11. The East Riding has 17 Children's Centre that offer a range of activities and services for children and their families to give every child the best start in life. We offer the right help at the right time so that families feel confident, safe, healthy and happy. Day to day work can be varied but mainly around administrative support. Main tasks within this team including dealing with families and professionals visiting the centre, room bookings, entering data onto the e-start system, updating spreadsheets, monitoring of inboxes and answering telephone queries. There is a financial aspect within this team in which orders need to be raised, goods receipted, invoices processed along with other ad hoc requests. This is a rewarding role in which you will see children's progress through the work of the teams around you and we want the right candidate to be a part of that team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, self-motivated and confident individual to join the team based at Kingsway Children's Centre providing a wide range of administrative support. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and committed to providing a quality service, have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to a changing environment. To undertake this role successfully you will need to be customer focused, able to work easily within a challenging environment, have excellent administrative and organisational skills and the motivation and desire to achieve a high-quality service. You should be able to demonstrate effective use of a range of ICT systems and software packages. As well as a high level of customer service, the ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information is paramount. Teamwork plays a vital role as does the ability to meet deadlines and work on your own initiative. This is a great opportunity to have an insight into Family Help and Safeguarding Services and the invaluable support we provide for families in the East Riding.
