For some children, the right adult support at the right time can make a lasting difference. In Blaenau Gwent Children's Residential Services, our staff help create safe, nurturing and supportive homes where children and young people can build trust, develop confidence and experience positive childhood memories.

We are looking for caring, resilient and committed Children's Residential Workers to join our team. You may already have experience in residential childcare, or you may be able to bring the right values, skills and life experience from another caring, education, youth work, health, community or support role. What matters most is your ability to build relationships, stay calm when things are difficult and see the potential in every child.

Every day in residential care is different. Some days are about school runs, activities, laughter and celebrating small achievements. Other days are about offering reassurance, consistency and emotional safety when a child needs it most. Through all of this, you will be part of a service that is committed to helping children feel listened to, respected and supported to achieve their potential.
