Band 7 AHP Children's Research Associate- 15 hrs/week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered Allied Health Professional to join the Childhood Participation (ChiP) Lab, led by Dr Hortensia Gimeno, as a Children's Research Associate.
You will support the ChiP Lab's research programme, contributing to the NIHR-funded Co-SMART feasibility trial and developing patient and public involvement (PPI) within the Lab. Based at the Royal London Hospital, you will deliver research across the borough and wider London in homes, schools, community settings and at Queen Mary University of London.
Main duties of the job
- Design and deliver intervention-based research, including data collection, outcome measurement and treatment fidelity
- Analyse and interpret complex quantitative and qualitative data, and disseminate findings through publications and presentations
- Contribute to research bids, ethics applications (including IRAS) and literature review
- Work with children, young people and families, and lead PPI group
- Maintain research governance in line with GCP
We're looking for someone with:
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist and 3 years' post-registration experience
- Master's level education in a research-related field
- Experience with children with movement disorders, including cerebral palsy, and delivery of CO-OP or similar interventions
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and Level 3 Safeguarding training.
