Full Job Description

A Vacancy at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

My name is Emma and I am the Consultant Clinical Psychologist for the All Age Learning Disability Service (Children, young people and their families), within Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. I work with Alison, Michaela, Mary, Lisa and Jenny who are all Clinical Psychologists working with children, young people and their families across the Service. Each of us work within a local MDT made up of nurses, occupational therapists and psychiatrists, alongside colleagues within our adult teams.

The South Cumbria team are one of our local MDTs and are currently looking for someone to join them!

They are a caring and supportive team of professionals who pride themselves in being creative and innovative, being driven to offer a service which is genuinely person centred. By this, I mean they are a team which is led by the individuals whom they support. There is careful consideration of the young person's needs, and those of their family, and how they as a team can meet these preferences. They are continually learning together and finding innovative ways of working to meet these needs.

They are passionate in being part of an All Age Service, which is fairly unique across England, and for this reason they have regular locality development sessions, and each team member has a vital role in sharing knowledge and skills.

For further details /informal visits please contact us using the details provided.

This is also the same for us as a group of Clinical Psychologists, who regularly meet to share ideas and support each other with areas of development particular to Clinical Psychology.
