Registered Children's Manager required to oversee the care and support of children within our home near Arundel
This Ofsted Outstanding home provides a safe, therapeutic environment for 5 young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, mental health conditions, and complex trauma histories.
Their time at the home marks a crucial stage in their journey, a period where they require intensive, bespoke therapeutic care to support their recovery from trauma. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment where healing, stability, and personal growth can flourish.
You will play a vital role in managing the team, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a nurturing environment for all residents.
The current RM is retiring after managing the home for many years and will be available to conduct a full handover and induction with the replacement Manager., As the Registered Manager, you will:
+ Oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards.
+ Provide strong leadership and direction to staff, fostering a culture of positivity, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
+ Develop and implement individual care plans to meet the needs of each child or young person.
+ Ensure the safety and well-being of children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
+ Manage budgets and resources effectively to deliver high-quality care.
+ Build and maintain positive relationships with external agencies, families, and stakeholders.
+ Lead the home through Ofsted inspections, striving for a rating of "Good" or "Outstanding."
+ Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce.
+ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management- Children and Young People Qualification, or the willingness to complete quickly.
+ Significant experience working in a children s residential care setting, including in a leadership role.
+ A thorough understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding practices, and children s home legislation.
+ Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
+ A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
+ The ability to inspire and motivate a team to deliver outstanding care.
