Children's Community Speech and Language Therapist

• You'll be part of a small and supportive paediatric therapy team
• You'll work closely with our Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists

Main duties of the job A typical week might include... Managing a community clinic caseload with the support of experienced members of the team Carrying out formal and informal assessments in both initial and review appointments Providing advice, support and training to families Completing relevant paperwork including targets and reports Running small group sessions with colleagues and providing individual therapy sessions About us Why join us?   Is HCPC and RCSLT registered with relevant experience working with children
• Has experience in the assessment and management of children with a range of speech, language and communication needs
• Has knowledge of evidence-based practice and therapy methods
• Brings excellent communication skills and a person-centred approach.
• Is confident working independently but enjoys being part of a team.
• Shows a creative and flexible approach
• Has good IT and organisational skills, Is HCPC and RCSLT registered with relevant experience working with children
• Has experience in the assessment and management of children with a range of speech, language and communication needs

• Excellent written and oral presentation skills
• Good analytical, problem solving and reflection skills
• Good IT Skills: word, database, email, internet
• Knowledge of assessment tools relevant to client group

• Knowledge of national polices and procedures relating to children with speech, language and communication needs
• Awareness of standards of record keeping
