Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic registered Children's Nurse to join our Children's Community Nursing Team (CCNT). As a Children's Community Nurse (CCN), you will play a crucial role in delivering high- quality nursing care to children in their home environments. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing care plans, implementing nursing interventions, and ensuring proper documentation and follow- up. This is a part-time position, offering a 33-hour working week, which will also involve participating in a weekend rota and providing support for an end-of-life on-call rota when necessary., o To maintain a professional attitude and work in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct at all times acting as a good role model. To be aware of own learning needs and limitations and to maintain professional expertise by embracing the concept of lifelong learning. To keep up to date with mandatory training.

o Maintain accurate, systematic, and timely record keeping including recording of clinical data.

o To work as an autonomous and lone specialist practitioner

o Support and deal with patients, parents, relatives, and staff in stressful situations and recognising the need for counselling and refer on as appropriate.

o To work in a collaborative manner with other agencies to ensure a seamless delivery of care to families

o To work flexibly to facilitate a 7-day service. This will include working weekends and bank holidays as per the roster. Additionally, there will be an expectation to participate in a 24-hour on-call rota when providing care for end-of-life patients., At gesh we are committed to supporting flexible working arrangements.
