Childminder Apprenticeship Assistant

Introduction

We are looking for a friendly, bubbly and enthusiastic individual to join our wonderful team as an Assistant Childminder. We are dedicated to helping children thrive, explore and develop through their early years and this too can become a part of your daily routine.

About the Employer

We are a small childminder looking after children under the ages of 5.

What You'll Do

• To plan, provide and take part in play-based activities that stimulate and support children’s development daily
• Assume the role as a Key Person to designated children throughout the week
• To follow and support children through their daily routine
• Develop an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Development Matter and ensure that practice and provision meets the requirements
• To create professional relationships with parents and communicate feedback about their child’s day
• Always supervise and ensure the safety of children
• Maintain a clean and organised environment, including tidying up after activities
• Ensure children follow good hygiene practices
• Attending outings with children alongside the Lead Childminders

Training Outcome

• Potential permanent job role, progression to a higher level apprenticeship or qualification

Working Week: Tuesday - Thursday, 8.00am - 6.00pm, Friday: college day, 9.30am - 4.30pm.
