Introduction
Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for learning about early years? This nursery is looking for someone to join their friendly team. Your role will be supporting children aged 4 months to 4 years. You will also be a key person to a small group of children, making learning fun and liaising closely with parents/carers. Apply now!
About the Employer
Outdoor play is an important part of childhood. It's exciting to see our children exploring their natural environment and the world around them, being curious and finding joy in seeing new things. We like to encourage our Children's imagination whilst playing and learning outside.
Our outdoor play is all made of natural resources including a bug house, mud kitchen and sandpit.
What You'll Do
- To act as a key person to a group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met.
- To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
- To advise the manager of any concerns, e.g. the health and well-being of children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
- To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences.
- To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures.
- To actively participate in team meetings, supervision meetings and appraisal meetings.
- To attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for personal development.
