Introduction
Swans Care and Education are looking for a new Childcare Apprentice. You will be studying toward your Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship L2/3 dependent on prior experience/qualifications.

As a Childcare Apprentice, you will join our friendly nursery team and gain valuable hands-on experience caring for and supporting children aged 0-5. Working alongside experienced early years professionals, you will help create a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and develop.
You will support the delivery of play-based activities linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), build positive relationships with children and their families, and learn how to support children’s individual development.
As a Childcare Apprentice, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the care, learning and development of children aged 0-5 in a safe and stimulating environment
- Helping to plan and deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate play-based activities in line with the EYFS
- Supporting children with their individual development and helping them make progress
- Building positive and professional relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
- Supporting the maintenance of a safe, clean and welcoming nursery environment, both indoors and outdoors
- Assisting with the accurate completion and maintenance of nursery records, including attendance, accidents and incidents
- Following nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety and emergency procedures
- Working as part of the nursery team and supporting colleagues with day-to-day activities and routines
- Completing all required learning, coursework and assessments as part of the Level 2 apprenticeship programme
- Undertaking other reasonable duties as directed by the Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager
