We are seeking a passionate Curriculum Innovator who will uphold high academic expectations and champion outstanding teaching and learner achievement. You will play a key role in shaping the strategic development of Mathematics through delivering impactful professional development and sharing best practice. As a consistently excellent classroom teacher, you will model high-quality planning and delivery, inspiring both students and colleagues. The successful candidate will mentor and coach Mathematics staff, ensuring strong, consistent practice across the department and contributing to our culture of continuous improvement and success.

Pegasus is located just outside central Dudley at the intersection of several major roads and bus routes. It is the smallest secondary academy in the Trust with over 600 learners on roll. There has been an extensive programme of refurbishment and investment in technology, and a considerable effort has gone into making the academy environment into something that inspires and motivates learners. Pegasus is one of the fastest improving schools in Dudley, with learners making progress that is above the national average. GCSE grades improved markedly, as did the proportion of learners achieving Grade 5 or higher in both English and Mathematics. The academy has an active Arts & Design department. There is also effective support for learners with special educational needs (SEND) and a strong culture of safeguarding. The Trust recognises that our staff are our most value asset and investing in our people is a key strategic priority. An extensive program of staff development is operated within school and across the Trust, and this is extended to senior and middle leaders, aspiring leaders, and teaching and associate staff. Our Chief Executive, Jo Higgins, joined us after a career in school leadership in South Yorkshire, where she led Penistone Grammar School for ten years. She also contributed to the borough wide school improvement system in Barnsley and she led the application process for a cross phase MAT of eleven schools. As a school leader, Jo is motivated by the conviction that all young people should be able to access outstanding provision, irrespective of their starting point in life. As part of her previous work she has driven rapid school improvement, and brings this experience to help strengthen each school's performance.
