Chief Cardiac Physiologist - Echocardiography

Join a leading paediatric and congenital cardiac service as Chief Cardiac Physiologist. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a growing echocardiography department, work with nationally recognised experts, and make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young adults with complex congenital and inherited heart conditions. You will perform echocardiography in children with a large spectrum of congenital, inherited and acquired heart conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone well established in paediatrics and congenital heart disease. Please note this is a permanent, part-time role at 30 hours per week inclusive of a 10% Recruitment and Retention premium (RRP).,

• To have good understanding of congenital and inherited conditions seen in paediatric cardiology specifically
• To carry out complex transthoracic paediatric echocardiograms guided by departmental protocols
• To produce and authorise an accurate, factual and clinical report for each study, recognising when a patient needs to be seen urgently by a Cardiologist
• To prepare and present interesting cases at departmental meetings
• To assist with the training of Paediatric Echocardiography protocols to new Clinical Physiologists, visiting Consultants, registrars, and junior doctors as required, ensuring a good learning environment is maintained for all levels of knowledge.
