Full Job Description

We are seeking experiencedChemotherapy Nurses (Band 6) to join our dedicated oncology team. In this pivotal role, you will deliver expert, patient-centred care as a named nurse for a defined group of patients, ensuring the highest standards of practice in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code and Trust guidelines. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated nurse who is passionate about oncology care and committed to continuous improvement.   • Provide specialist care and clinical leadership within the ward or department.
  • Safely administer chemotherapy and intravenous treatments in accordance with Trust protocols.
  • Support the Ward Manager by deputising when required and managing complex clinical situations.
  • Maintain up-to-date specialist knowledge and act as a role model for best practice.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance initiatives, including audits and risk management.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team to enhance the patient experience.
