We have an exciting leadership opportunity where you can truly make a difference!!! We're looking for an experienced and passionate chef to lead the catering team in our CODI EXTRA CARE SERVICE in FAIRWATER AREA, CARDIFF. As CHEF MANAGER you will oversee operations, plan nutritious meals, and inspire a positive team culture. This is a permanent full time, 37-hour position with an annual salary of £30,888 Shift times aren't what you would usually expect if you are coming from hospitality…..Depending on what's best for this scheme…..you would rarely work past 5pm!!!, We're looking for a dynamic manager to oversee operations at this new site, plan nutritious meals, and inspire a positive team culture. You'll ensure compliance, maintain health and safety, and work closely with the Service Manager to provide a customer-focused experience.

  • Ability to lead, manage and upskill a team - skilled at motivating, organising, and supporting a team to deliver high standards under pressure. We are looking for someone who is confident in spotting skill gaps and providing practical, hands-on training to help the team grow.
  • Dietary and cultural knowledge - committed to creating menus that respect dietary requirements and cultural preferences.
  • Capable of working to a set budget - able to manage resources effectively, reduce waste, and keep costs under control without compromising quality.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering - solid knowledge of food safety, preparation techniques, and industry standards, with recognised qualifications.

  • £30,888 per annum
  • 26 days holiday, pro rata entitlement plus Bank holidays. Rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service.
