Full Job Description
The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring consistent quality, efficient preparation, and smooth service operations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced kitchen environment.,
- Take full ownership of the assigned kitchen section (grill, sauté, garnish, pastry, etc.)
- Complete daily mise en place accurately and on time
- Prepare all menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations
- Maintain speed, organisation, and control during service hours
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Sous Chef/Head Chef
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and Health & Safety standards
- Support the training and development of new team members
- Use kitchen equipment correctly and report any faults or maintenance needs
- Contribute to overall kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and closing procedures
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a similar role - Experience working in high-volume or fast-paced kitchens
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (Food Safety Level 2 preferred)
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control
- Team-oriented, communicative, and solution-focused
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends Preferred Skills & Attributes
