Full Job Description

  • Prepare, cook and present fresh food to a consistently high standard
  • Support the delivery of efficient daily food service
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely and in line with dietary and allergen requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Complete food safety records, cleaning schedules and stock-related administration
  • Replenish food and equipment throughout service periods
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Catering Manager to deliver exceptional standards
  • Support school events, functions and hospitality services as required
  • Follow all health & safety, food safety and safeguarding procedures
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Report any issues, incidents or concerns promptly
  • Assist with other kitchen duties and reasonable management requests as needed

    Passion for fresh food and high-quality cooking
  • Experience preparing and cooking food in high-volume environments
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen management
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • A positive, enthusiastic and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Flexibility, reliability and a strong work ethic
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
  • Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
  • A calm and professional approach in a busy kitchen
