Chef - Azimghur Barracks

As a Chef, you'll play a key role in preparing and delivering fresh, high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and customer service. Whether you're an experienced Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or an established Chef looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you., If you're looking for a better work-life balance than traditional hospitality roles, this position offers:

• 40 hours per week
• 1 in 3 weekends working
• Typical shift patterns:
+ Early Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm + Late Shift: 11:00am - 8:00pm

What You'll Be Doing
• Preparing and serving high-quality food for breakfast, lunch and dinner services
• Supporting the planning and delivery of varied and engaging menus
• Maintaining excellent food presentation and quality standards
• Ensuring compliance with all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations
• Managing stock levels and supporting ordering processes
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment
• Contributing ideas to improve food offerings and customer satisfaction
• Working collaboratively with the wider catering team to deliver an exceptional service
• Representing ESS and Compass Group UK & Ireland with professionalism and pride
  
  Previous experience in a Chef, Chef de Partie or similar kitchen role
• A passion for producing great food and delivering excellent customer experiences
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance standards
• Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to obtain one)
• City & Guilds, NVQ Professional Cookery or equivalent culinary qualification desirable
• Ability to work effectively in a busy catering environment
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Flexible approach to working hours and responsibilities
• Experience within contract catering, hospitality, hotels, restaurants or volume catering environments is advantageous
