Full Job Description
As a Chef at Sodexo in Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital, you'll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience. You'll be responsible for managing your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards. - Prepare and deliver high-quality, nutritious and appealing food for patients, staff and visitors.
- Follow menus, recipes and dietary requirements to ensure food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard.
- Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, allergen management and health and safety.
- Ensure the kitchen and all work areas are clean, safe and well organised throughout each shift.
- Support the smooth running of the kitchen and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent service.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, reporting and resolving any issues promptly.
- Support special functions and provide cover for colleagues when require
Previous experience working as a Chef in quality-focused catering environment; healthcare experience is desirable. - A good understanding of food safety, HACCP, allergens, hygiene and health and safety requirements.
- A passion for producing great-quality food and delivering an excellent experience for patients and customers.
- The ability to work efficiently, follow recipes and instructions, and manage tasks effectively.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive and flexible approach.
- Good organisation, reliability and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn, develop and complete relevant training.
