Full Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, confident and motivated Charge Nurse to join our Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Service. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of individuals experiencing acute mental health needs, while supporting the development and wellbeing of the ward team. As a key member of the nursing leadership team, you will play a central role in ensuring the delivery of safe, therapeutic and person-centred care. You will provide visible and supportive leadership on the ward, act as a clinical role model, and support junior colleagues to develop their skills and confidence., We are looking for someone who:
- Demonstrates the Trust values in practice: Welcoming, Kind, Positive, Respectful and Professional
- Is committed to trauma-informed, culturally competent and person-centred care
- Can confidently coordinate the ward on a shift-by-shift basis, ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently maintained
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills, including de-escalation and collaborative working
- Is passionate about supporting others, nurturing a positive team culture and promoting staff wellbeing
- Values co-production and actively involves service users and carers in care planning and service improvement
