• To support the senior nurse in the provision of professional role modelling and leadership that inspires the professional development of nursing within outpatients
• To provide visible clinical leadership and authoritative presence, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality care.
• Ensuring that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery.
• Support the outpatient improvement programme
• To ensure effective operational management of outpatient clinics to ensure standards are monitored and maintained /improved
• Work with the multi-professional team on patient pathway redesign to enhance the quality of the patient experience whilst reducing delays, and ensuring patient flows are managed within elective access targets
• Ensure local governance structures are in place and lead on delegated projects

  Registered Nurse
• Relevant post-registration clinical course/s
• Knowledge of research and audit including implementation of findings
• Experience in change management Experience in project management, Has attained a Degree in management/ professional nursing issues.
• Leadership qualification, oMinimum 4 years post registration experience with relevant experience of team leadership
• oTeaching experience, Advanced interpersonal skills
• Leadership skills
• Effective time management for self and others
