Full Job Description

As Change Manager, you'll play a critical role in coordinating and delivering engineering changes across our product portfolio, ensuring that changes are implemented effectively, efficiently and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. You'll act as the link between technical teams, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality and R&D functions, bringing people together to deliver successful outcomes. This role offers the chance to go beyond managing individual changes. We're looking for someone who can identify opportunities for process improvement, help evolve our change management framework, and naturally influence and coordinate colleagues across a community of Change Managers. While this is not a formal leadership position, it offers significant scope to shape direction, drive improvements and build future leadership capability. You will work closely with stakeholders across Oxford, Erlangen and Shenzhen, helping to improve collaboration and enable consistent, high-quality delivery of change activities across multiple sites and functions. What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing engineering and product changes throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring successful implementation from concept through to release.
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver change activities across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and other business functions.
  • Assessing change requests for impact, complexity, risk, cost and business value.
  • Supporting and continuously improving engineering change processes, governance and ways of working.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and facilitating effective collaboration across international teams and locations.
  • Monitoring risks, dependencies and priorities, ensuring changes are delivered in a controlled and compliant manner.
  • Supporting the coordination of wider portfolios of change activity and helping create greater alignment across the Change Management community.
  • Driving continuous improvement through the use of metrics, lessons learned and best practice sharing.

We're interested in hearing from candidates who combine strong process thinking with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a genuine passion for driving improvement.
  • You'll likely bring:
  • Experience managing engineering, technical, product or process changes within a regulated manufacturing, engineering, healthcare, life sciences or similarly complex environment.
  • Strong understanding of structured processes, governance and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and achieve alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives and driving adoption of improved ways of working.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working within engineering, product development, manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to operate with autonomy while building collaborative relationships across international teams.
  • It would be advantageous if you also have:
  • Experience within medical devices, healthcare technology or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Design Control or engineering change processes.
  • Experience in organisational change, business transformation or continuous improvement activities.
  • Professional qualifications in Project Management or Change Management methodologies.
