Chair - Advisory Board on the Registration of Homeopathic Products

The Chair of the ABRHP must be able to demonstrate the qualities, skills and experience to meet all the essential criteria for appointment.

Be medically qualified and have a strong and current scientific background
Demonstrate an impartial perspective on the use of homeopathy and have an understanding of the importance of regulation of homeopathic medicines
Have previous or current experience of high-level committee membership nationally or internationally
Be a skilled communicator
Be able to assimilate complex scientific information at short notice, and provide formal and informal advice to the MHRA between meetings when required
Be prepared to relinquish all personal and non-personal interests of a financial nature in the pharmaceutical industry
Be recognised by their peers as leaders in their field and/or be Fellows of the relevant Royal Colleges
Knowledge of homeopathy would be an advantage but not essential
