Full Job Description
To be responsible in managing the Centre in the provision, delivery and development of high quality and cost-effective services.
To seek ways to improve the income and usage of the Centre.
To control expenditure at the Centre within the agreed budget.
To ensure the effective running of the centre for customers.
To co-ordinate staff resources to meet the operational requirements of the centre and to be part of the shift rota.
To encourage teamwork through open communication and leadership.
To maintain good relationships with existing hirers.
To monitor the performance of the operation through budget reporting procedures.
To take responsibility for health and safety at the Centre.
Job Responsibilities:
To lead and manage a team of Senior Library Assistants, Leisure Staff and Assistant Centre Manager.
To oversee the smooth running of the Centre.
To work closely with the wider library, culture and leisure teams.
To work as a Duty Manager as part of the operational shift rota and oversee other Duty Manager's rotas.
To ensure that the buildings are presented at good levels of cleanliness for customers.
To assist in developing the programme of activities for customers.
To evaluate the service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
To ensure operational procedures are adhered to.
To maintain quality assured procedures in line with Quest standards.
To assist in recruiting, training and motivating staff within the centre.
To implement the Health and Safety policy and associated procedures.
To ensure that the buildings are maintained according to the requirements of the Centre.
To ensure Vision's values are embraced and adopted throughout the Centre.
A minimum of 2 years experience of working within the leisure industry.
First Aid at Work Certificate.
Experience of managing staff
