Full Job Description

Summary: As a CBRE Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for proactive and reactive building maintenance and repair services for client contracts. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks and ensure all KPIs, SLAs and compliance deadlines are met.
Complete minor fabric repairs including fixing broken fixtures, fittings, doors, locks, tiles and general building fabric issues.
Undertake painting and decorating duties such as touch-ups, refreshing walls and maintaining overall site appearance.
Deliver small remedial works, basic carpentry, plaster patching, tightening/replacing components and general handyman-style tasks.
Move, assemble, relocate or reconfigure office and site furniture when required.
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, minimising disruption to the site.
Maintain tidy, safe and professional work areas, following all CBRE Health & Safety procedures.
Liaise with Engineers, Supervisors and the site team to ensure PPMs, KPIs and reactive works stay on track.
Conduct regular building walkarounds to identify defects early and proactively raise/fix issues.
Support the wider FM team with reasonable additional tasks to ensure smooth site operations.
Update and manage all work tasks through the CAFM system, ensuring accurate logging, status updates and completion notes.

Full JD can be provided upon application. Experience Required: Experience in a fabric, building maintenance, handyman or general FM repair role.
Good understanding of basic carpentry, decorating, minor repairs and general building maintenance.
Formal trade qualification in a building fabric discipline (e.g., Carpentry, Painting & Decorating, Plastering, General Building Maintenance).
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in a relevant trade (or equivalent experience).
Ability to work safely and follow all Health & Safety procedures.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with clients and site teams.
Confident working independently and managing own workload.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to use or learn CAFM systems for logging and updating tasks
