School Term Time Contract (plus 2 cleaning days in addition) - Salary paid equally over 12 months


Are you a passionate Catering Supervisor or a Kitchen Assistant looking for a progression opportunity? If so, this role is for you and we'd love you to join our fantastic team based in schools across Halton.


If successful, you will be supporting the Catering operations in running the service at St Edwards Catholic Primary. You'll be representing both Edsential and our school to ensure that all pupils have the best quality food and customer experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising the Kitchen staff in the following duties:



  • Preparing and presenting food to a high standard of hygiene and safe practice

  • Allergen Management and dietary considerations

  • Completion of all kitchen administration, i.e., Health and Safety Checks, Allergen Management

  • Work to maintain accurate records and ensure kitchen targets are met, i.e., stock control, food orders, quality assurance

  • Manage relationships with School Staff such as Teachers, Business Managers, and Head Teachers

  • Management of kitchen staff, i.e., processing timesheets, absence management, and probation meetings
