We're looking for a passionate and experienced Catering Manager with a strong culinary background who can lead from the front, inspire their team, and deliver exceptional food and service standards. This role would suit a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or Catering Manager ready to take the next step in their career. Compass Group frequently seeks managers with strong culinary foundations who can combine operational leadership with hands-on food expertise. What you'll be doing

  • Managing the day-to-day catering operation
  • Leading, motivating, and developing a dedicated catering team
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service
  • Managing budgets, food costs, labour costs, and KPIs
  • Building strong client relationships and ensuring contractual expectations are exceeded
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company procedures
  • Supporting kitchen operations when required and leading by example

    Previous experience as a Catering Manager, Chef Manager, Head Chef, or similar role
  • Strong culinary background with a passion for food
  • Proven people management and leadership skills
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Food Hygiene qualification and a sound understanding of compliance standards
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
