Job Description


As Catering Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the catering operation, leading a small team while remaining hands-on in food preparation and service. You'll ensure high standards across food quality, customer experience, financial performance, health and safety, and team engagement.


Key Responsibilities



  • Managing all aspects of the catering operation

  • Leading, motivating and developing a small team

  • Planning menus and ordering stock

  • Delivering excellent customer service and building strong client relationships

  • Managing budgets, food costs and profitability

  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety and company procedures

  • Driving innovation and introducing new ideas to enhance the customer experience

  • Monitoring food waste and operational performance

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the operation


Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications



  • Previous contract catering experience is essential

  • Experience managing a catering or café operation

  • Strong food preparation and kitchen management skills

  • Experience leading and motivating teams

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Good commercial awareness and budget management experience

  • Level 3 Food Safety qualification (or willingness to obtain)

  • A professional, organised and proactive approach to work
