Full Job Description
- Arrive on time and prepare the kitchen and dining areas for service.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of food, including basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping and portioning ingredients.
- Assist the Catering Manager/Chef with the preparation and presentation of meals.
- Ensure food is prepared, stored and handled safely and hygienically.
- Set up serving areas, counters, utensils, plates, cutlery and other equipment ready for lunchtime service.
- + Clear tables and return equipment and crockery to the kitchen as required. + Wash dishes, utensils, trays and catering equipment using the appropriate cleaning procedures. + Clean and sanitise work surfaces, preparation areas and serving counters. + Clean catering equipment in accordance with manufacturer and Trust procedures. + Sweep and mop kitchen and relevant dining areas. Monday to Friday 11:00 - 15:00
