The final salary will be adjusted accordingly once this has been agreed., Are you passionate about food and dedicated to delivering exceptional service? We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Hafan y Waun Residential Home. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of service, ensuring a positive dining experience for our residents.,

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and beverages, including setting up and clearing of tables where necessary.
  • Recording the temperature of food at the point of service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing up of equipment and utensils.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensure strict compliance with current food handling and hygiene standards, guided by Food Safety legislation and Environmental Health Standards.
  • use of hazardous equipment.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, encompassing manual handling, COSHH, and safe use of dangerous equipment.
  • Working hours:
  • 20 hours per week on a two-week rolling rota, to include early/late shifts and weekend working., We are at the core of Ceredigion's through-age social care provision and we focus on ensuring that each individual receives the intervention that is best placed to meet their needs or, where necessary, guide them to early help or specialist services.   • Integrated Triage and Assessment Services + Intake and Integrated Operations Team + Integrated Assessment Team + Emergency Duty Team Targeted and Short-term Services + Direct Payments Support Service + Centre for Independent Living (CILC) Logistics and Operations Team + Targeted & Enablement Integrated Care + Technology Enabled Care & Sensory Services + Occupational Therapy

  • Previous experience of working in a kitchen environment
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Has excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Displays a willingness to learn and undertake relevant courses as required
