Duties will include food preparation, stocking up, clearing away, cleaning and operating the till. Experience of working within a kitchen or a catering environment is desirable, but full training will be given.
What is most important is a passion and flexibility to work as part of a productive team and a willingness to learn new skills.
If you are passionate about catering, relish variety in your role and thrive on working in a busy environment this is a great opportunity for you.
The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and relate well to young people.
It would be helpful (but not essential) if you possessed a full UK Driving Licence, so that you could also assist in delivering and serving food at external catering sites using a school provided vehicle, if required.

St Andrew's is a school that has love at its core. You see it in the relationships between staff and students; both in the classrooms and the corridors; and in the excellent pastoral care that every student is given. I have heard many describe being part of our school community as being like 'family'; both giving and receiving unrelenting love. Our core Christian values run through all that we do, both in daily life and in strategic development.
We have the highest expectations and aspirations for all members of our community, and accept nothing less than an individual's best. We recognise that we are all unique, with unique training and developmental needs - and we aim to give every staff member the best CPD to enable them to reach their career goals, no matter what that goal may be.
Our Catering Team is led by an experienced chef. We provide a wide range of food and beverage choices to staff and students across a number of food services every day.
The successful candidate will have a positive and solution focused approach, applying a 'can do', detail orientated attitude to any potential challenges and a desire to change the lives of young people for the better.
It truly is an exciting time to join St Andrew's. Whilst considerable growth and progress has been made in recent years, there is still so much impact to be made as the school goes from strength to strength.
