Full Job Description
We're looking for a Catering Assistant who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.
Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hourPosition Type: PermanentType of Employment: Full Time Hours: 40 hours per week Location: Heartlands Hospital, Bordesley Green, Birmingham, West Midlands, England, B9 5SS
Role Responsibilities:
-Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
-Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery, and catering equipment.
-Clean all catering areas daily and follow health and safety standards.
-Handle cash collection, banking, and maintain records and procedures.
-Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and colleagues to deliver excellent service.
Previous catering experience in a similar environment (desirable).
-Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates (training provided if not held).
-Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
-Passion for customer service and ability to work independently and in a team.
-Adaptable, detail-oriented, and confident with strong organisational and time management skills.
