Catering Assistant

We are recruiting for a part time Catering Assistant to join our friendly catering team at the Hospice in Brentry. Working in a supportive and collaborative environment for a much-loved local Charity dedicated to making a difference in the lives of thousands of patients, their families and carers when it matters most, you will help to prepare, cook and serve food and beverages to patients. • 16 hours per week
• 14:30 - 18:30 Mondays, Thursdays, and every other weekend
• 9:00 - 13:00 Fridays
• Permanent position
What you will do
• Be a vital part of the catering operation and ensure our busy kitchens run smoothly
• Assist with the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
• Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and tidy
• Clean equipment ovens fryers etc
  
  A can-do attitude and flexible approach to working
• Excellent attention to detail, plus good communication skills
• Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a similar role
• Able to work independently and as a team member
• General knowledge of health and safety procedures
• Basic Food Hygiene Qualification
• Knowledge of allergy requirements
