Catering Assistant

As a Catering Assistant at Sodexo in Nuffield Health, The Manor Hospital Oxford, Beech Road, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7RP, you'll play an important part in preparing and serving nutritious, comforting meals that support patient recovery and wellbeing. You'll also help maintain a clean, safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas. With a cheerful attitude and great customer service, your presence can make a real difference in someone's day. • Assist in the preparation of patient food in a hygienic manner, following all instructions given
• Rotate food stock and record any wastage
• Keep all areas clean and tidy
• Clean kitchen, pantry, restaurant equipment, crockery, utensils, and structural areas
• Assist with stock takes, check in deliveries, and put away stock
• Deliver catering supplies to wards, departments, and for call orders
• Complete paperwork such as temperature records and cleaning rotas
• Assist the manager and supervisor to achieve service level agreements and health and safety requirements
• Report faulty equipment or near misses
• Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required

• Basic food-handling knowledge and hygiene awareness
