Full Job Description
In MIU the postholder will be booking patients into the unit and outpatient clinics, answering the telephone, answering general queries and providing some clerical support to the MIU clinicians.
The ward administrator is a vital part of the ward team helping visitors and other health care services that contact the ward and providing support to the nursing and therapy staff. The ward administrator is responsible for all aspects of clerical support to the Ward.
Acting as the first point of contact at the Minor Injury Unit, the ward and the hospital, the successful candidate will be welcoming, approachable and friendly. They will have a calm, sensitive and caring manner and will be able to act swiftly when under pressure.
The successful applicant must have experience in IT using Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills and will be trained with local IT systems.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our administration team at Caterham Dene Hospital. We are looking for someone who would be an administrator working at the Minor Injury Unit (MIU) and/or on Caterham Dene Ward.
MIU is a nurse-led unit, providing a service for the treatment of patients presenting with minor injuries and minor medical conditions. It is open 365 days a year from 08:00 to 20:00 and sees both adults and children.
